What should I name my cat?
What should you name you cat? If you don’t know, read this post for ideas!
Do you have a new cat? That’s perfect, because in this blog post I will give you some advice on naming your cat! You want a good name, that you and your cat both like!
Are you stuck? Are you trying to find the perfect name but not finding any ideas?
If you are, then look at your cat. Seriously, look at your cat.
What color is her/his fur? What color are his/her eyes? What is her/his head shaped like? If you have a white cat with blue eyes, you can name your cat after the white coat(Snowy, Snow White, Snowflake, etc.) or name your cat after the blue eyes(Cerulean, Turquoise, Forget-Me-Not, etc.). You don’t have to do this, but you can name your cat related to something obvious about your cat!
You can name your cat something that ends with “y/ie”, because cats respond to names ending with “y/ie” better.
You can try:
Misty
Charlie
Kitty
Or make up your own!
Just remember, name your cat something beautiful, that you both like! He/she is stuck with that name forever, so choose wisely! Meow!
Have a nice, cool, and crazy day,

Can I make my cat a vegan or vegetarian?
Can you make your cat vegan or vegetarian? Read this post to learn more!
If you are vegan/vegetarian and want your cat to do the same but are not sure if it is healthy for the cat, then this will answer your question!
No, cats can NOT be vegan or vegetarian. Cats are carnivores, remember? A cat in the wild would have a diet of rodents and birds, and look at how big and strong they are! A vegan or vegetarian cat just won’t be like that wild cat. In fact, your cat wouldn’t be having a good diet, and if you don’t have a good diet, you can guess what happens.
Cats have to be carnivores to live. Please do not make your cat vegan or vegetarian.
Feed your cat wet or dry food, and adult food or kitten food, depending on the cat. Too much vegetables or grains won’t make your cat feel good.
Thank you and have a good day!

Do you want to be interviewed on Cool and Crazy Cats? Keep reading to learn more!
The first week of a month is an interview episode! Cool and Crazy Cats interviews a cat lover or cat expert, and asks them questions. Do you want to be interviewed?
You won’t have to prepare a speech, since you will be asked questions that were made beforehand.
Here are some questions you might want to ask yourself:
Do I want to be interviewed? Remember, this episode will get posted to the public, so if you are not comfortable with that, you might not want to be interviewed.
Am I happy to share my knowledge and cat wisdom with others(knowledge doesn’t have to be about a cat breed, it can be about how to care for a cat)?
Do I have fun facts, stories, or other fascinating things about cats to share with others? You don’t have to be a cat owner, if you know about cats.
If the answer to all of those questions is yes, then you can email me at lianiragade@gmail.com if you want to be interviewed!
Hope you are feline good today,

Melody and Banjo
Who are Melody and Banjo? I have mentioned them in my episodes, but this is your chance to learn more about them!
Who are Melody and Banjo?
Melody and Banjo are my two adorable kittens. I have mentioned them during some of my episodes. But, here is some info that I didn’t explain in my podcast:
Melody is a female part-Siamese kitten who is almost 2 years old. She loves to play with bouncy balls and sometimes slices the balls in half. She was found in a cardboard box in a parking lot with her brother. His name was Boone. The Cat Cafe in San Jose, California found them, and put them up for adoption, so I was going to adopt them. But, then Boone died of illness, and Melody was left alone. I love Melody with all my heart. I think she is very brave because she lost her brother and still is very playful and energetic, but that might be because of Banjo…
Now, Banjo is a male mixed breed cat who I like to classify as “tuxedo cat”. He has a crazy and playful side. But, usually he is shy. He would run away from people even if they were 4 feet away from him. Maybe because when the Cat Cafe found him, he was in a trash can, so he might have been scared of people since getting thrown in a trash can. But, Banjo is less shy now. He still runs away, but now he cuddles with me and my brother and even curls up on my favorite window spot sometimes! Here is a picture of Banjo:
Melody and Banjo might each have their own stories, but they love to cuddle together and spend some catnaps with each other. Here are some pictures:
Cat holidays
What holidays can you celebrate with your feline friend? Please read this passage to find out!
Yes, International Box Day isn’t the only cat holiday to celebrate with your feline friend! Need some cat-related holidays to spend time with your cat(you can spend time with your cat every day, though:), or do you just want to celebrate something today? Anyway, read these holidays, and if they are not today, start planning!
National Hug Your Cat Day
Some people say it’s May 3, or May 30, but whatever the day, you can celebrate it! To be honest, you don’t have to wait for National Hug Your Cat Day to hug your cat, in fact, I think you should do it every day to show your cat that you care! Try not to get scratched or bitten…
National Cat Health Month, Pet Dental Health Month or Spay/Neuter Month
Wow! Cats get their own health month! Celebrate by-well, keeping healthy!
Adopt a Shelter Cat Month
June is the month of Adopt a Shelter Cat Month. I need not explain what the meaning of this holiday is, it is pretty obvious. Please get a shelter cat this June!
Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals Month
This holiday is in April. The ASPCA, American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, does fight for animal rights all year round, but in April they have the Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals Month. To celebrate this holiday you can participate in many different ways, from participating in campaigns and donating, to adopting a cat, spreading the word, going onto social media to participate, and more.
National Siamese Cat Day
This holiday is for those cat lovers who have a Siamese. It is on April 6. My cat Melody(below) is half-Siamese, and I am so sad I didn’t celebrate National Siamese Cat Day because I didn’t know about it, so please celebrate it when you can if you have a Siamese. Just chill out, you don’t have to prepare a huge party!
National Cat Day
National Cat Day first started in 2002. People tried to raise awareness about homeless cats. It is celebrated on August 8, but in Europe they celebrate it on the 17th of February. And, some people celebrate it on October 19.
International Box Day
I wrote a whole post on this holiday. Please read it for more info! International Box Day is on June 19, my birthday.
Happy Cat Month
This holiday is in September.
Make up your own holiday!
There is no Abyssinian holiday, or Ragdoll holiday, but you can make up one! Are you sad that your cat doesn’t get a holiday? Or do you just wanna celebrate something because…you want to! Either way, you can have your cozy little holiday at home!
Now, I can’t put all the cat holidays here, but I think I have put enough so that you can spend more time with your cat and celebrate that time spent together. I hope you have the purr-fect time celebrating all these cat holidays with your cat!
No Declawing Allowed!
Should you declaw your cat or not? It isn’t good to declaw your cat. Read this post to learn more!
Yes, declawing may seem good if you have a really scratchy cat, but think about how it affects the cat, not how it affects you.
Say, one day you come home from work/school and your cat jumps up and scratches your arm, so now you want to declaw it.
But, that is kinda like taking your fingers off for hitting someone.
The cat might not know, maybe the cat thinks it is just playing!
Declawing your cat is bad because it can cause arthritis in the cat’s paws and can hurt them later in life.
Now, think about why you want to declaw. Is it only for you, or is it for the cat? Probably not for the cat. It would hurt the cat, and declawing is like cutting off your fingers.
So, instead of declawing/cutting off fingers, you can cut their claws, like you would if you were cutting nails.
But don’t feel bad if you already have. Declawed cats are twice as fast with their bite. So, watch out for a declawed cat’s mouth!
Anyway, if you haven’t yet, please don’t declaw your cat. It will hurt your cat later on in life, and I think it is better to get a scratch than regret what you did with no way to change it.
